Growing up, my mom ran a daycare, so I understand and had heard the pain points of parents, and sitters, trying to find childcare and jobs, that were reliable and safe. Tandem’s goal was to do just that, and to solve a problem within the gig economy.

I wanted to work on this problem because it was close to home and something I understood very well. It is of note, that all of the founders were female who hired a diverse team, including female engineers at an early stage startup with seed money of $5M.
